What is the need for a WTG??
The Energy Crisis – Let us stop fueling ourselves !
Everyone is aware of the energy crisis.
Are you aware that fossil fuels will last only another 60 years?
That long before that they are going to become unviable and unaffordable.
That even now, if the subsidies granted by Government on Electricity Tariff and
petroleum products are removed , they will become unaffordable
to the common man.
That the conventional fuels now in use are the largest contributors to pollution and emission of Green House Gases, leading to Global Warming.
That due to global warming all the glacier fed rivers like the Ganges will dry up after
Initial flooding of their plains.
That the warming has been exhibited already by the non- formation of the natural Siva Lingam at Amarnath due to ice and had to be artificially created by the priests.
Nature is sounding her alarm bells loud and clear. Are we listening ?
That it is high time we switched over to alternative renewable forms of energy generation.
That of all the renewable forms of energy the most perennial and inexhaustible source...
IS THE WIND.
“ In air upon his pathways hastening onward
Never on any day he tarries resting
The first born order-loving friend of waters
Where, pray, was he born ? Say, whence he came hither ?
The soul of Gods and of the world the offspring
This God according to his liking wanders
His sound is heard but never is seen his figure
This Vata let us now with offerings worship !"
------ RigVeda x.168-Hymn on Vayu the God of the Wind according to Hindu mythology.
